I specialize in cornets and related high brass instruments from the 1800s and early 1900s dating back to the Civil War. I look for high quality examples with an eye toward historical significance and variety. While I have probably owned hundreds of horns since I started over ten years ago I rarely maintain more than 80 items in my collection at a given time. So feel free to check back and watch the list change and grow or contact me with any questions you may have. I’m always looking for something!
Besides being a collector I am an amateur cornet player as well as a jazz and brass band enthusiast. I have served on the Board of Directors for many performing arts groups including the Pro Musica Chamber Orchestra. In addition I am a member of the International Trumpet Guild, the Historic Brass Society and the Cornet Conspiracy. By day I am President of an award-winning branding agency called Ologie. I am married to the most wonderful woman on Earth and have three terrific grown kids and one amazing grandson but none of them share my love of musty old brass relics. It is true that some of them do smell badly. The horn cases, not the kids.
